Amount first, then the item
Say the quantity before the vegetable, then the verb: ଅଧ କିଲୋ ଟମାଟୋ ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ, lit. "half kilo tomato give". The vegetable name stays the same for one or many: ଆଳୁ is both "potato" and "potatoes".
