Tip

Little endings do the work of 'from', 'in', 'to'

Odia uses endings joined to the noun instead of separate prepositions: କଟକ + ରୁ = କଟକରୁ (from Cuttack), ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର + ରେ = ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱରରେ (in Bhubaneswar), ଓଡ଼ିଶା + କୁ = ଓଡ଼ିଶାକୁ (to Odisha). The verb comes last: ମୁଁ କଟକରୁ ଆସିଛି।
