A: ନମସ୍କାର! ଆପଣ କେମିତି ଅଛନ୍ତି? (Namaskāra! Āpaṇa kemiti achanti?) Hello! How are you?

B: ନମସ୍କାର! ମୁଁ ଭଲ ଅଛି। ଆପଣ? (Namaskāra! Muṁ bhala achi. Āpaṇa?) Hello! I am fine. And you?

A: ମୁଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଭଲ ଅଛି। ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ। (Muṁ madhya bhala achi. Dhanyabāda.) I am also fine. Thank you.

Formal vs Informal

In Odia, there's a big difference between formal and informal speech:
