The idea began with a man who proposes to his girlfriend on the day he comes back to India after three years apart. Sarkar told YourStory that he wanted the show to tell relatable stories with gentler emotions. TVF said at the time that it was among the most-watched long-form web series on YouTube.
In 2015 Sarkar wrote TVF Pitchers and played the character Puneet in it. That year he also wrote and starred in Barely Speaking with Arnub, a parody of the television anchor Arnab Goswami. He was not the planned host and took the part when the director asked him to stand in.
