About Trupti Das

Trupti Das is an Odia playback singer whose film work stretches from Adina Megha (1970) into the 2010s. She won the Odisha State Film Award for Best Female Singer four times between 1978 and 1989.

Film playback

Das was active in Odia film music from at least 1970, when she sang "Bou Lo Ki Kahibi" in Amit Maitra's Adina Megha, scored by Balakrushna Das. In Basant Nayak's Naga Phasa (1977), with music by Akshaya Mohanty, she sang the solo "E Raati Pahiba Kebe E Pathara Kanhi Shesha", duets with Mohanty such as "Mo Kola To Jhulana To Aakhi Mo Aeena", "Gaadi Chale Pachhei Debi" and "Je Dinu Paichhi Mo Priya", and "Bada Bedaradi Mo Naali Paan Raja" with Geeta Patnaik. Awards and honours
